The moon-sighting committee has invited all Muslims in the UAE to sight the crescent of the month of Shawwal on Saturday evening, Ramadan 29, 1443 H, which corresponds to April 12, 2024. The committee requested anyone who sees the crescent to report to the nearest court to record the testimony.

The UAE Cabinet has approved a weeklong Eid al-Fitr holiday for all federal government entities operating across the country, from the 9th of April through with federal employees to resume duties.
